The Local Tours and Post-conference Tours will be provided with a fee. These tours offer visitors a good opportunity to appreciate Chinese culture, the ancient civilization, people's daily life and traditions.

Local Tours (LT)

LT1 Ming Tombs-Lunch-Great Wall   
08:30-17:30    Wed., Apr. 22   RMB450/per person


The Ming Tombs are a group of mausoleums of 13 Ming Emperors. The underground burial chamber of Ming Emperor Wanli has been open to the public since excavation in 1956. The Great Wall was originally built in 221 B. C. It is said to be the only man-made object visible from the moon. The section of Juyongguan we are going to visit was built in the 15th century during the Ming Dynasty and repaired recently.


LT2 Hutong Tour-Lunch-Temple of Heaven

We strongly recommend the Hutong Tour. It is a tour on an old style tricycle around the old city residential areas. It is the place where you can experience the local culture, traditions and the everyday life. The Temple of Heaven was the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvests, and it has been called the noblest example of religious architecture in China.

LT3 Tiananmen Square-Forbidden City-Lunch-Summer Palace

The Tian'anmen Square is an enormous square facing the Gate of Heavenly Peace. It is the heart of modern Beijing. The Forbidden City has been the political center of China for nearly 500 years. Today, it remains as the most complete and best-preserved collection of ancient buildings in China. Built in 1888, the beautiful Summer Palace is the largest and best-preserved of all imperial palace gardens, and which boasts such delights as the famous Marble Boat and the ornately painted "Long Corridor".

 

Post-conference Tours (PT)

PT1 Beijing - Xian - Beijing

Apr. 25: Sat Beijing / Xian
    Take a morning flight to Xian. Upon arrival, visit Shaanxi History Museum , which considers it an obligation to be a showcase of ancient civilizations. Then you will proceed to visit the well-preserved Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is followed by the field trip to review the geological features of Xian, and it will take 3 hours with the assistance of Shaanxi Earthquake Administration. You will enjoy a welcome Dumpling Banquet in the evening.
     
Apr. 26: Sun Xian / Beijing
    After breakfast, visit the Old City Wall, the most complete city wall that has survived in China . Then visit the great and most attractions in Xian - Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum , the home of more than 6000 life-size terra-cotta warriors and horses excavated from the tomb of the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty. Transfer to airport and take a flight back to Beijing . Upon arrival, airport meeting and transfer to Beijing Jiuhua Spa & Resort.
     
Apr. 27: Mon Beijing

PT2 Beijing - Xian - Guilin - Yangshuo - Shanghai

Apr. 25: Sat Beijing / Xian
    Take a morning flight to Xian. Upon arrival, visit Shaanxi History Museum , which considers it an obligation to be a showcase of ancient civilizations. Enjoy a traditional Dumpling Banquet in the evening.
     
Apr. 26: Sun Xian

Apr. 27: Mon Xian / Guilin
    After breakfast, flight to Guilin . Visit the extraordinary underground caverns of the Reed Flute Cave and ascend Fubo Hill for a superb view of this beautiful town. Then visit Elephant Trunk Hill which hences its name because the rock hill with a hole in it gives the rock itself the appearance of an elephant sipping water with its trunk.
     
Apr. 28: Tue Guilin / Yangshuo
    After breakfast, take a Li River cruise to Yangshuo and drift gently through the enchanting landscapes that have inspired some of the most famous Chinese poetry and paintings. Spend the afternoon browsing with a bicycle through Yangshuo's antique and craft stalls and rural field. Overnight at Yangshuo.
     
Apr. 29: Wed Yangshuo / Guilin / Shanghai
    After breakfast, transfer to Guilin Airport for flight to Shanghai . Upon arrival, ?visit Yu Garden, one of the well-known gardens of classical style south of the?Yangtze River, Jade Buddha Temple which got its name from the two jade?statues of Sakyamuni. Stroll on the Bund, lined with graceful European buildings?and with stunning views over the modern district of Pudong.
     
Apr. 30: Thu Shanghai / Departure
